The SKF Group is an internationally recognized provider of goods, services and solutions in the rolling SKF bearings and seals industry. Their services include technical support, maintenance, training and condition monitoring. SKF bearings offer a wide range of training courses in order to ensure that their customers (bearings and seals manufacturers) are able to provide the highest quality of bearings and seals possible. These courses are offered by the SKF bearings Reliability Maintenance Institute. There are three different types of SKF bearings that are manufactured by the organization. They are radial bearings, thrust bearings and track runner bearings.
Maintenance and training
SKF bearings offer 11 different courses on bearing maintenance and reliability. There is a particular emphasis on improving the life and performance of bearings, with the aim of also generally improving the life and performance of the machines in which they are used. These courses cover many different topics. A short list includes comprehensive bearing maintenance, bearing reliability in paper machines, bearing reliability in centrifugal pumps, advanced lubrication technology, SKF bearings selection for machine reliability, fan system reliability and fundamentals of bearing technology, among others. Participants in SKF training programs for bearings should make sure that the training courses they select are applicable to their line of work.
